一些獨立的連鎖酒店連鎖預訂中心
酒店連鎖較獨立酒店VI設計一個突出優(yōu)勢就是:擁有自己的去 全國乃至全球性客房預訂中央控制系統(tǒng),能為其成員酒店提供集團內訂房服務。而且與其他集團合作,使用其共同的預訂系統(tǒng)資源。通過這一系統(tǒng),可以在世界各地的成員酒店里辦理其他成員酒店的客房預訂。假日酒店、喜來登、希爾頓等國際連鎖酒店都開設免費的預訂電話,顧客通過它能隨時了解該連鎖內某一成員酒店的出租情況。如果需要預訂無須放下電話便可得到預訂確認,你可以知道你將住在哪個房間,里邊有什么設施,房價是多少。有的酒店連鎖成員其客房出租的四分之一甚至更多來自連鎖集團的預訂中心。
連鎖酒店的預訂系統(tǒng)可分為集團型和分散型兩種:
(1)集團型預訂系統(tǒng)
集團擁有一個預訂中心,其數據庫儲存各酒店客房使用情況、房價、會議設施、餐飲、娛樂及運動設施、客戶檔案等資料,訂房中心、集體區(qū)域預訂辦事處及各成員酒店都可以迅速共享此信息資源。客人可在當地成員酒店或預訂辦事處預訂異地或異國某成員酒店客房,工作人員通過電腦端終將客人預訂要求傳到預訂中心,如該酒店的客房、房價等符合客人要求,工作人員可立即確認預訂要求;如不符合,則向客人介紹其他成員酒店。這種預訂系統(tǒng)要求成員酒店與預訂中心聯(lián)網,技術要求高,建立統(tǒng)一的互聯(lián)網終端需要大量的資金與技術投入,同時也需要工作人員精通電腦與網絡操作,對于一些發(fā)展中國家尚有一定難度。假日酒店連鎖集團(Holiday Inn)采用HolidexⅢ系統(tǒng)和喜來登國際酒店集團ReservationⅢ都采用了這種集中型預訂系統(tǒng)。但由于所有預訂必須經過訂房中心處理,有時會造成不必要的財力、人力和時間浪費。例如,一位客人在紐約預訂芝加哥另一成員酒店的房間,訂房工作人員將客人要求傳送到集團的訂房中心,再由訂房中心將訂房信息傳送給芝加哥的酒店,以確定是否接受預訂。而實際上直接撥通芝加哥成員酒店的電話,便可得到迅速的答復。
(2)分散型預訂系統(tǒng)
這種系統(tǒng)不是由集團的訂房中心統(tǒng)一辦理訂房服務,訂房中心的電腦與位于世界各地的訂房辦事處聯(lián)系,而不與集團所屬的大部分酒店聯(lián)網;各酒店將接到的訂房要求傳到相應的當地訂房辦事處,有辦事處處理當地的訂房業(yè)務。分散型預訂系統(tǒng)可以有效、經濟地處理區(qū)域內的訂房要求。
